SALATARAE

SALATARAE (Σαλατάραι, Ptol. 6.11.6), a tribe of the Bactrians who lived along the banks of the Oxus. Forbiger suspects that they are the same as the Saraparae, noticed by Pliny (6.16. s. 18).
