UXENTUS

UXENTUS (τὸ Οὔξεντον, Ptol. 7.1. § § 24, 76), a chain of mountains in the Deccan of India, between lat. 22° and 24° and long. 136° and 143°, probably those called Gondwana. They formed the watershed of several rivers which flowed into the Bay of Bengal, as the Adamas, Dosaron and Tyndis.
