ZERYNTHUS
ZERYNTHUS (
Ζήρυνθος, Lycophr. 77;
Steph. B. sub voce a town of Thrace not far from the borders of the Aenianes.
It contained a cave of Hecate, a temple
[p. 2.1338]of Apollo, and another of Aphrodite, which two deities hence derived the epithet of Zerynthian. (Cf.
