Alexander of ANTIOCHIA

（*)Ale/candros), of ANTIOCHIA, a friend of M. Antonius, who being acquainted with the Syriac language, acted twice as interpreter between Antonius and one Mithridates, who betrayed to him the plans of the Parthians, to save the Romans. This happened in B. C. 36. (Pseudo-Appian, Parth. pp. 93, 96, ed. Schweigh.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
