bishop of Constantia in Africa, flourished during the persecution of the Catholics by the Vandal Genseric.

He is the author of an impressive and graceful letter entitled Epistola ad Labores pro Christo ferendos Exhortatoria, written about A. D. 437-440 to a certain Spaniard named Arcadius, who having been banished on account of his faith, is here comforted and encouraged to endure still greater hardships in support of the truth.
