Stratoni'cus

*Strato/nikos), a physician at Pergamus in Mysia, a pupil of Sabinus, and one of Galen's tutors, about A. D. 148. (Galen. De Atra Bile, 100.4, vol. v. p. 119.) It is not certain whether he is the same person whose opinion respecting the generation of male and female children is mentioned by Galen (De Sem. 2.5, vol. iv. p. 629), and who is called by him φυσικὸς Στρατόνικος.
