Valenti'nus, Vale'rius

accused C. Cosconius under the Servilia lex (probably De Repetundis); and although the guilt of Cosconius was clear he was acquitted in consequence of an indecent verse of Valentinus being read in court. (V. Max. 8.1. abs. 8; comp. Festus, s. v. Tappulam, p. 363, ed. Müller.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
