1 لَفَقَ الثَّوْبَ ذ He joined and sewed together, or put together and sewed, the two oblong pieces of cloth of the garment; (S, Msb, K;) and ↓ لَفَّقَ , inf. n. تَلْفِيقٌ, signifies the same, and is more common; or has an intensive signification. (TA.) ― -b2- See also Har, pp. 253 and 254. ― -b3- ↓ تَلْفِيقٌ The bringing, or putting, together. (KL.) And The making suitable, or conformable. (KL.) ― -b4- And The speaking, or telling, what is untrue, or false: (KL:) the embellishing [of speech] with lies. (Har, p. 254.) ― -b5- لَفَقَ He felled (a seam or garment).
