1 نَامَتْ رِجْلُهُ ذ (assumed tropical:) I. q. خَدِرَتْ [His leg, or foot, became benumbed, or torpid]. (TA in art. بسر.) ― -b2- نَامَ (assumed tropical:) It (a woman's anklet) ceased to sound, by reason of the fulness of the leg: like as one says [in the contr. case], استيقظ. (TA in art. يقظ.) ― -b3- نَامَ has for its inf. ns. نَوْمٌ and مَنَامٌ. (Msb.) ― -b4- نَامَ الثَّوْبُ i. q. رَقَدَ [q. v.] (A, art. رقد.) ― -b5- نَامَتِ السُّوقُ i. q. رَقَدَت [q. v.] (Th, in TA, art. رقد.) ― -b6- نَامَ (tropical:) He lay; as opposed to he sat and he stood. See نَائِمٌ. ― -b7- نَامَ عَنْ حَاجَتِهِ He cared not for the object of his want, neglected it. (Msb.)
