Commander Maury.

Commander Wm. L. Maury, a native of Virginia, and for thirty years an officer of the U. S. Navy, resigned his commission on the 20th April, and has entered the service of his native State. Commander Maury has always enjoyed a high reputation, as one of the most gallant, skillful and efficient officers of the Navy. We welcome him with great satisfaction to the band of heroic spirits who are gathering around their old mother in her time of need.
