Serious accident.
--We regret to learn that
Mr. Maylin Snapp, a very respectable gentleman of this county, met with a serious accident on Thursday last, in
Winchester.
It appears that
Mr. S. had come to town with his wages, and was returning home when he was overtaken near the southern and of town by a party of fifteen or twenty men, in a wagon, on their way home from the election, singing and fiddling, at which
Mr. Snapp's horses became frightened and started to run, throwing him to the ground, and the wagon passing over him near the abdomen, injuring him seriously inwardly.
He was immediately carried to a house, where
Drs.
McGuire and Wall rendered medical assistance.--
Winchester Virginian, 24th.
