Incidents of the Aquia Creek fight.

--The Fredericksburg Herald, in speaking of the first fight at Aquia Creek between the Federal vessels and our troops, says:

‘ "There was no one injured on our side except William McDougall of this place, who received a slight flesh wound on the hand by a shell that exploded above him. McDougall had gone in a boat for the purpose of bringing in a guard off a small schooner. His quick eye discerned a shell making direct for him as he sat in the boat sculling; with one bound he cleared the boat, jumping into the river, but still holding on to the boat with one hand; the shell exploded above him, and one piece struck his hand."

’ The Fredericksburg Recorder, in speaking to the second fight on Friday last, relates the following incident:

‘ During the firing two shells fell in one of the batteries, and, so soon as they had fallen, both were taken hold of by Lieut. Yancey, of the Tennessee regiment, and pitched into the river before they could do any damage. We have this from an eye-witness.

’
