Death of a Kentuckian.

Capt. E. H. Murphy, of the "Summit Rifles," 16th Regiment Mississippi Volunteers, died of consumption, at
Warrenton, Va., on the 2d inst., in the 27th year of his age.
Capt. M. was the third son of
Col. F. G. Murphy, of
Nelson county, Ky. one of the twenty- six Southern men of the last Legislature of that State.
Captain M.'s two oldest brothers,
Col. Wm. Murphy,
Clerk of the
Nelson Circuit Court, and
Major Steve Murphy, are now in the army under
Gen. Buckner, in the southern portion of
Kentucky, and his younger brother is in the army of the Potomac.
His father is an exile from his home in
Nelson county, six hundred Lincolnites being encamped in sight of his residence.
The regiment to which
Capt. M. was attached have hold a and passed suitable resolutions of and respect for the enemy of the deceased.
