--William McDonald, the individual charged with purloining Wm. A. Sharp's Colt's navy pistol, having been acquitted on that charge on Monday, was yesterday brought before the Mayor, to be examined for stealing a navy revolver, the property of Charles J. Clements, of Colonel Rosser's Cavalry. Mr. Clements proved that the pistol was stolen from him at Bradford's saloon. Bradford testified that McDonald was at his house on the night the pistol was missed; and other witnesses that the article was found on the person of the accused when arrested for the larceny of Sharp's pistol. A policeman testified that he had sought in vain for Cornelius Maloy, represented by McD. to be an important witness in his behalf. The Mayor said he should commit the prisoner for examination before the next Court of Husting. Clements's pistol was retained, and the one sold by prisoner and another man to Mr. Walsh, (claimed by Sharp,) was delivered to Mr. Walsh, to be contested for by the owner before another tribunal.
