It is not, I believe, certainly known whether
Capt. Morris is killed, or only wounded and taken.
It is to be hoped that he is a prisoner.
The horse of
Lieut. Col D A Langhorne was shot under him while riding along the line.
Col. L. however, escaped unhurt.
Col
Burkes received a very slight wound in the hip — not severe enough, however, to disconcert him the least.
His horse was struck two or three times, but carried him safely from the field.
