Western Virginia

--The Staunton Spectator says that the forces which we have stationed through the winter on the Alleghany mountain, have been moved eastward to the Shenandoah, mountain. As soon as our forces charged their location, the enemy took possession of Monterey; the county seat of High land county, with a force of four thousand. It is since reported that the enemy have advanced to McDowell, ten miles seat of Monterey.
