Mayor's Court, yesterday.

--Mary, a slave in the employment of Frances Mathews, was brought before the Mayor for cutting her mistress over the left eye and on the nose with a table-knife. This act of malice on the part of the savage darkey was appropriately punished by order of His Honor, he having awarded the performer twenty-five stripes immediately, and the same number on Saturday. The above was the only case adjudicated.
