The officer appointed to enroll conscripts was busy yesterday at his office, in A. Mosee's store, Main street, in giving additional papers to parties already exempted by State and Confederate law. The applications were numerous, the crowd great, and the chance of getting through, as related by parties who had run the gauntlet, not very extensive.
