Several fine mountain howitzers and caissons, captured from the enemy, were brought to the city yesterday, and being temporarily delayed on Main street, were examined with curious interest by many interested spectators. The gun alluded to is small, weighing only 250 pounds, and capable of throwing either shot or shell.
