The city watch.

--The city watch, which now comprises a force of less than 40 men, is to be aided, we understand, by an equal admixture of the military element. It is proposed, we believe, that one er (with his market) shell accompany one watchman (with his club) in his nightly rounds. Is the system can be made to work, is will much increase the efficiency of the regulations for the apprehension of law breakers.
