A dispatch from Goldsboro', N, C., dated the 15th, states that our troops in force made a reconnaissance on Tuesday in the direction of Newborn. The pickets of the enemy fled, offering but slight resistance. One of Nothercut's Rangers was killed by a Yankee picket. Beyond this no other causalities were reported on either side.
