Tuesday. January 20. 1863.
Special and Bank Note--The brokers have again advanced the premium for gold, and we now quote at $@2,15, with an upward tendency; silver $1.77@2. Virginia and North Carolina bank notes, we also quote at higher rates, viz; 27¼ @ Georgia and South Carolina do, 33@37½ cts--some asking 43 cts. Sterling Exchange has advanced to $2.10 @2.20.

Bonds and Stocks.--We quote Confederate bonds at par and list, do (15 M) held at 139--no recent sales; Virginia 6's 1,0, N Carolina 6's dull; do 8's 1.6 and int, Missouri 6's 115, Farmers B'k 105, B'k of Va 73, Ins Co. State of Va. 23, Va. Central R. R. stock 75.

Real State--On Monday several valuable offerings of real estate were advertised for sale as auction by Messrs Goddin & Apperson but one lot was said, viz; let on west side 8th and North of st, opposite Paper Mill, fronting 100 feet on 8th it by 120 feat to an alley 20 feet wide, brought $50. --$10.300.

Wheat.--Prime qualities of Red and White, $8.42@3.50. These are the outside prices. Transactions are very small except by the Government agents, and the city millers are unwilling to enter into competition.

Corn.--Very little in market. We note an advance of 25 cents per bushel since our last semi-weekly report, and now quote it firm at $3.75.

Flour--Dull at the following quotations: Superfine, $20; Extra, $21; Family, $24@25 bbl.--The Government agents have been impressing flour at $17.50 p bbl.

Corn Meal--Scarce and in demand at $4 p bushel, with an advancing tendency.

Tobacco.--The market continues animated and prices firm. We note recent sales as followed Inferior Lugs, $8 @7 to $12; Good, $15 to $16; Fine, $17 to $19, Inferior Leaf, $16 to $18; Fine Supping, @30 to $37 to; Fine Manufacturing, $10 to $50. Breads and receipt very light.

Groceries--Brown Sugar, $1 p in. White Clarified, $1.18 @ 20. Molasses, $12 per gallon. Coffee, $4 p in. Soft, 30 cents p 15 Rice, 10@ 12½ cents.

Provisions.--Bacon, hoground, 78@75 cents p 15, in good demand Batter, $1.25@ 1.59 Cheese, $1.25 @1.00 Lard, 20@35 cts. Hggs, 90 cts. @ $1 p dozen. Irish Potatoes, $4 per bbl; Sweet, very scarce and high. Onions, $40@50 p bbl. Beans, $ @5 p bushel, Peas, 3½ @4 p bushel.

Fruit.--Apples scarce, and in less demand. We quote at $32 @40 p bbl Pippins 40@15 p bbl. Dried Apples, $5@5. Dried Peaches, $10@12 p bushel.

Seeds--Timothy, $7; Clover, $27@30 p bush.

Liquors.--Whiskey, $25; Apple Brandy, $25; French Brandy, $50 p gallon.
