Raising the flag.

--A stout flag-staff having been erected on the top of the Libby prison, the ceremony of hoisting the new Confederate flag over the habitation of the Yankee prisoners was performed under the direction of Capt Turner, the commandant, early yesterday morning. When it was drawn up to the head of the flag-staff a gentle breeze spread out its ample folds and it looked the emblem of a free and independent people. The Yankees now have our flag over them, and that of the "dear Union" under them, for the office of the Libby prison contains a dozen beautiful patterns of the Stars and Stripes, gathered in by the valor of our men.
