Monday, July 13th, 1863.
Specie and Bank Notes.--The effect of the fall of Vicksburg, and the adverse reports from other quarters, last week, on the money market was to put a stop to transactions in gold. There have been no offerings for several days. The brokers are now quoting at $7.50 premium, buying rate; $8.50 premium selling rate. Silver is quotable 50 cents below these figures. Bank notes are again higher. We quote at $1.25 to 1 30 premium. Sterling Exchange, $8.50 premium.

Bonds and Stocks.--We quote Confederate bonds, 100 m loan, at $103 to 110, and int; do do, 15 m loan, coupon, held at 200 and int; do do, registered, 130 and int; do do. 7 percents, 100; Virginia registered stock, 135; Virginia coupon bonds, 2 coupons on, 220; N. Carolina 6's, 250; Bank of Richmond stock, 110; Bank of Commonwealth, 125; Insurance Co. State of Virginia, 42½ Virginia Central R. R. stock, 100; Orange and Alexandria R. R. do, 25; Richmond & York R. R. 50.

Produce, Provisions, &c.--Bacon is in better demand, but we still quote at $1.45al 50 for hoground. Butter — the demand is increasing and prices have advanced; we now quote at $1.60al 75 per lb. Cheese, $1.50al 75 per lb. Dried Fruit--Apples $10 per bush; Peaches $16 per bush. Eggs $1.50al 75 per dozen. Hay $8a8.50 per 100 lbs. Lard $1.55al 60 per lb. Potatoes — Irish $20a25 per bush. Corn $9.50 per bush. Corn Meal $10. Flour — Superfine $31a32; Extra $32a33; Family $36a37. Oates $5.50 per bushel. Wheat — there is scarcely any offering, and that is mostly bought for horse feed. We continue to quote at $6.50a7 for prime qualities of red and white.

Groceries.--Sugars have still further advanced since our last semi-weekly report. They may now be quoted by wholesale at $1.75al 80 per lb. Molasses has also advanced to $12.50a14 per gal. Coffee $3.25a4. Rice 18a20 cts. Salt 35 Candies $2.25a2 50.

Tobacco.--No transactions for ten days past except a small sale of some twenty-five hogs heads on Friday last, but without change in prices. There are some receipts, but the warehouses are full, and there is a deficiency of storage room. We renew quotations as follows: Inferior Lugs $12a18; good do $20a25; common Leaf $25a30; good Leaf $35a40; fine Shipping $50a60; fine Manufacturing $70a100. An extra quality would bring a much higher price, say from $150 to 200.

Liquors.--Whiskey $25 to 30; Apple Brandy $26; French Brandy (imitation) $45 to 50.

Leather.--Sole $3.75 to 4; Harness $4 to 4.25; Upper $5 to 5.50; Calfskin $3.50 to 4 per dozen; Hides — green, salted, $1 per lb., dry $1.50 to 1.75 per lb.
