Underselling.

--Some the butchers in the Second Market yesterday sold a very fine article of fresh beef at figures below those charged by Colonel Ingram, the keeper of the "City Stall" and contractor with the Council Committee. The best kind of beefsteak could be bought for three dollars per pound, and good weight given at that. "Competition is the life of trade," and it would be greatly to the benefit of our needy citizens if more of it was shown among the butchers in the Richmond markets.
