Senate.

Thursday,December 23, 1864.
The Senate was not in session to-day, it having adjourned over to Monday.


House of Representatives.

The House met at 12 o'clock. Prayer by Rev. Dr. Doggett.

The House resolved itself into secret session; and the doors being re-opened, went into Committee of the Whole on the currency bill.

After the adoption of several amendments, the committee rose and the chairman reported the bill to the House with a recommendation that it do pass.

On motion, the House adjourned.
