Seventy-two bales of cotton, twenty-three hogsheads of tobacco, twenty-five barrels of flour, and many other less valuable articles, arrived in Petersburg by the Southern railroad on Saturday last. The receipts of cotton and tobacco by the same railroad from August 12 to December 15 inclusive, were seven thousand two hundred and eighty-five bales and three thousand seven hundred and seventy hogsheads respectively. One hundred and forty-five hogsheads tobacco were inspected in that city last week.
