A Clergyman robbed.

--A heavy robbery was perpetrated on Monday evening last at the residence of the Rev. Mr. Converse, editor of the Christian Observer, on Franklin, between Twenty- first and Twenty-second streets. Between 6 and 7 o'clock, while the family were partaking of their afternoon meal, a thief entered a chamber above the dining-room and stole a trunk containing a thousand dollars in greenbacks, a hundred dollars in gold, and a quantity of silverware. No arrest has yet been made. The thief was undoubtedly well acquainted with the premises and aware of the contents of the trunk.
