Fortified town and village
sites which are not identified with any ancient name are
numerous and justify the ancient tradition that the area
was heavily populated in Hellenistic times. They are
as follows: Agrilovouni, Ammotopos, Artsista, Artza,
Ayia Trias, Baousioi, Delvinakion, Dhemati, Dholiani,
Draghomi, Embesos, Glousta, Gouryiana, Granitsa, Ieromnïmi, Kalarritai, Kalenji, Kalokhori, Kaloyeritsa,
Kastriotissa, Kastriza, Katarrakhtis (2), Khalkopouloi,
Klimatia, Koutsi, Ktismata, Lagatora, Lakhanokastro,
Lavdhani, Lia, Liapokhori, Ligaria, Makrinon, Marmara,
Megale Gotista, Mesoyefira, Palea Goritsa, Paleokoula,
Paliokhori Botsari, Pirgos (Peria), Pramanda, Psina,
Sinou, Sirouno, Sistrounion, Skamneli, Sosinou, Terovo,
Thiriakision, Toskesi (2), Tsamanda, Tsourila, Uzdina,
Veliani, Vereniki, Vourta, Vrousina, Yiatelio, Zalongon.
