Indūtus
(
ἔνδυμα). Any kind of close-fitting garment as
distinguished from
amictus (q. v.), which is generally expressive of
loose clothing. It is oftenest applied to the underclothing of both men and women
(
Epist. iii. 42;
Tac. Ann. xvi.
