ACRATISMA

ACRATISMA (ἀκράτισμα), the early breakfast (μρωϊνὸν ἄριστον), which the Greeks took immediately after rising, corresponding to the first breakfast of the French or Germans. It consisted of bread dipped in unmixed wine (ἄκρατος οἶνος), whence the name ἀκράτιδμα. [See CENA]
