μᾶλλοννόμον Or. 43 § 53 μᾶλλον δὲ λέγε αὐτὸν τὸν νόμον. Uhle, i 112.]

άργύριον δὲ μὴ ἐξεῖναι ἐκδοῦναι parallel to the legal formula in 43 § 62 γυναῖκα δὲ μὴ ἐξεῖναι εἰσιέναι.] ἐκδοῦναι, for δανεῖσαι, is by no means common, though ἔκδοσις is sometimes so used. (Boeckh, P. E. p. 132.)

ὧν οὗτοι κύριοί εἰσι viz. any slave or agent in their employ.

καὶ τἄλλα τὰ γ.—αὐτῶν Equivalent to our form “and so on,” “et cetera.” [These words are added by the speaker.] Only one or two clauses are quoted. [Cf. Köhler in Hermes ii p. 31.]

εἶναιπρὸς τοὺς ἐπιμελητάς law in Or. 43 § 71 τὰς δἱκας εἶναι περὶ τούτων πρὸς τοὺς ἄρχοντας.

τὴν φάσιν The action for contraband trading. —ἐπιμελητάς, sc. λιμένων, or ἐμπορίου, the overseers or harbour-masters. [Cf. Or. 58 § 8. They were ten in number. See Merer and Schomann, p. 86.]—άπογραφή, see Or. 34 § 7.

εἰσαγέτω law in 63 § 75 εἰσαγέτω εἰς τὴν ἡλιαίαν ( ἄρχων).]
