ἀμφότερον: used adverbially to introduce the rest of the verse. cf. 145, 3.179. γενεῇ: causal, “because of my descent,” parallel to the clause “οὕνεκα κτλ”.— cf. ast ego, quae divom incedo regina, Iovisque| et soror et coniunx Verg. Aen. i. 46 f. κέκλημαι: am called, i.e. am. This use of ‘verbs of calling’ is freq. in classi cal writers as well as in the Bible. cf. “ἅγιον τοῦ Κυρίου κληθήσεται” St. Luke ii. 23, 3.138. σὺ δὲ κτλ.: still dependent on “οὕνεκα”. This takes the place of a rel. clause explaining the “σή” of 60. “The wife of thee who dost rule.” “σύ” thus repeats the thought of “σή”, and naturally has the first place in the clause.
