--In order to correct erroneous statements that have been circulated at the North, we would state that no persons entertaining Northern sentiments have been mattered in this city or neighborhood. A few obnoxious persons among as have been satisfied by the anxiousness to return to the North; and they have been allowed to leave as they please, without being interfered with.

The foregoing, from the Norfolk Argus, applies equally to this section of the State
