Two news items worth mentioning

--namely, a burglarious entering of the house of Mr. Eppes, and the escape of some Yankee prisoners, (which last, however, took place at some unknown time,) were omitted by us yesterday, for the good reason that no such in formation had reached us. And this gives us occasion to say that not being well acquainted in the city, and being ignorant of many sources of local news, we shall feel much obliged to any one having such information who will either communicate the facts to us, or tell us where we may obtain them ourself.
