From Fredericksburg.

The latest information we have from this point assures us that it is still in possession of our forces, though threatened by a vastly superior body of the enemy. As stated, the enemy are represented to have possession of Falmouth, on the apposite side of the river, but we have at intelligence that they have made any attempt to cross. A brisk artillery fight occurred between the contending forces on Monday evening, which lasted up to five o'clock, our troops maintaining their position. The firing was not renewed yesterday morning.
