Remarkable escape.

--H. Walker Adams, the son of the late Ex-Governor Adams, of South Carolina, who was wounded at Fredericksburg, was shot in the forehead, the ball passing through the anterior lobe of the brain on that side. Notwithstanding the loss of a portion of the brain, he is improving. His left side was paralyzed, but he is now able to move both hand and foot, and there is a fair prospect of his recovery.
