--Many citizens of Western North Carolina, who went off to the enemy a year or two since, have voluntarily returned and given pledges for their future loyalty and good conduct. Some of them, we learn, express themselves very emphatically as satisfied with their experience in the Yankee service. It is not, they say, the feast to which they were invited, and henceforth they are with the Confederacy, for weal or woe:-- Asheville (N. C.) News, 22d.
