with our brethren of the South. Signed by George S. Young, Jno. Pritchard, Jas H. May, Theodore Elmore, and Thomas Alvis. On motion, the majority report was laid on the table, and the minority report adopted, with a few dissenting votes. Great applause followed the adoption of the report. On motion, the following delegation was appointed to represent the working men of Richmond in a "National Convention" of working men, to be held in the city of Philadelphia, on the 22d of February: Messrs. Samuel Huffman, John Pritchard, George S. Young and George S. Lowndes. Capt Lowndes requested some one to suggest a plan for defraying the expenses of the delegation. He was willing to contribute his portion. Capt. M. M. Lipscomb said he would subscribe five dollars. Gayeties to come. --The Young Guard are making arrangements to give their annual ball, on the night of the 22d of February. We hear that it will be given in the large and elegant apartment at the Spotswood House, but of this we are not positive. The company intend to make it one of the most brilliant festivals that our citizens ever participated in. The ball of Company "G," at the Mechanics' Institute, on the same night, will be another splendid affair. We hope the "gallant and the gay" will keep these coming events in their minds.
