About twelve o'clock on the 16th of December the right wing of the chain of pickets of the second company, Captain Glass, was attacked by cavalry from the enemy. Captain Glass sent reinforcements, who drove back the enemy; and he himself, with the balance of the company, followeCaptain Glass sent reinforcements, who drove back the enemy; and he himself, with the balance of the company, followed.
