Mayor's Court, yesterday. --Patrick Holland was held to bail in the sum of $150 for threatening to shoot James McColley. Wm. White, a free negro, was ordered twenty lashes and put to work on the fortifications, for stealing a watermelon from Ben, slave of Mrs. Binford The case of William, slave of D. M. Semple, for feloniously cutting Charles, slave of Dr. R. G. Cabell, with a knife, was continued to the 8th of September, and prisoner sent to jail.
Mayor's Court. --This tribunal seems to have fallen into "sere and yellow leaf." Yesterday the few cases brought to the attention of his Honor were continued. We subjoin a list of the criminals and the offences charged against them. John H. Gatewood and C. H. Althizer, accomplices in a murder; M. La Truitte and W. Duke, having no visible means of support; Peter Kennedy, for threatening and instigating Michael Kennedy to set fire to the house of Geo. W. Graff; John Doyle, breaking open Patrick Holland's trunk and stealing $75 in bankable funds.

While our troops were withdrawing from the island, and were preparing to remove their guns, information was communicated to the blockading vessels at Fernandina by a fisherman, when one of the steamers immediately started for Warsaw, and soon after the fleet arrived and entered the harbor. The guns were mostly dismounted from the batteries, and but a few men were superintending their removal. Previous to the arrival of the fleet a large steamer appeared bearing down to one of the batteries, with a French flag at half-mast.--When within halling distance she lowered the French flag and ran up the Stars and Stripes, and ordered Col. Holland to come on board, at the same time running out her guns. As soon as Col. H got on board she immediately steered northward.
Mayor's Court, Saturday. --Patrick Kinnoven, alias James Coyne, arrested for the larceny of $750, a silver watch worth $25, and pistol worth $3, was ordered by the Mayor to be taken before the Provost Marshal to be tried by court martial. The accused is a soldier, but claims to be a British subject. --Jno. Shinkwin and Pat Connors, soldiers, arrested for appropriating to their own use $65 belonging to Thos. Donohoe, were also remanded for trial before the military authorities.--John Dusty, colored, arraigned at the instigation of his wife, for an assault, was ordered to be smitten with a cowskin to teach him better manners by the force of example.--Hiram Husher, white, arraigned for assaulting his wife, was acquitted. --John Dovle, charged with breaking open the trunk of Patrick Holland, drinking his liquor, and taking $65, was examined and discharged.

The case of the robbery was continued until Wednesday. John Whittaker, a free negro, charged with forging Mrs. Louisa G. Allan's name to a check for $500, payable at the Bank of Virginia, was examined and acquitted, none of the evidence tending to criminate him. Patrick Holland was required to give $200 security to keep the peace towards his wife, who accused him of beating her without cause. The case of Madison Griffin, charged with a forgery, whereby he obtained $15 from Richard Reins, was heard and again continued, the principal witness being still absent. George R. Courtney, a soldier, arrested by the watch for drunkenness, was charged with stealing a coat from Jack White, a runaway negro, confined in the same cell of the cage with him. The Mayor
