Sad death by Drowsing. --The Iredell (N. C.) Express states that one day last week Mr. James Neely, of Kowan county, in attempting to cross the South Yadkin river, was drowned. The mother and sister of the unfortunate young man were standing on the shore, and witnessed the and out eutrophy without being able to render any assistance to the son and brother. Mr Neely had rendered gallant service in the present war, been severally wounded, and was to have been united in marriage to a young lady of Iredell this week, had he survived.
