Nov. 8. --The new Minister resident from Sweden and Norway, Edward, Count Piper, was presented to the President to-day by the Secretary of State To which the President replied: Sir: I receive with great pleasure a Minister from Sweden; that pleasure is enhanced by the information which preceded your arrival here, that his Majestyrious era in your country's noble history, and your own eminent social and political standing in Sweden.
