Another Marder, --Coroner Sanxay was called upon yesterday to hold an inquest over the body of Michael Leary, found lying dead at this own house, on Grace, between 17th and Union streets. Deceased's death was the result of an affray between himself and one Jno, Murray, on Thursday night of last week. He breathed his last Sunday night. By the evidence of James McCormick, a resident of Henrico, it appeared that he arrived in the city and sought the domicil of Leary for lodgings. --While on his way thither, between 9 and 10 o'clock at night on Thursday, he met Murray, who proposed to accompany him. He did so. On their arrival they found Leary's family had retired. Leary got up, opened the door, and invited McCormick in. For some reason, he objected to the presence of Murray, and told him he had better go home; he could not get lodgings there. Murray insisted upon going in, and thrust himself into the house. Fifty Dollars reward. --Ranaway, on or about the 1st May, my boy John. He is about 24 years of age, dark complexion, about 5 feet 8 inches high, always, laughs when spoken to, and shows his teeth. He had on when he left a suit of Richmond Gray's. He has been seen about the city frequently. The above reward will be given for his lodgment in jail, where I can get him — Dickinson & Hill's jail. Said fellow is about 5 feet six inches high, rather stout, dark complexion, and, I think, one of his front teeth out. His countenance generally is rather stern, but when spoken to brightens up. Fifty Dollars reward. --Ranaway from the Henrico Poor House, on the 9th instant, my negro man John. Said fellow is about 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, quite black, and is very stout full face, and has but one eye, and is about 25 years old. It is highly probable that he is lurking about in the city of Richmond or in Henrico. If taken in either place, $25 will be paid, or $50 if taken up anywhere else and lodged in jail so I get him again, or if delivered to Clopton & Lyne, in Richmond. see 11--ts Richard B. Lyne.

f salt from sea water. Agreed to. Mr. Collier offered a resolution inquiring into the expediency of exempting Justices of the Peace from military duty. Agreed to. The appeal from the decision of the Chair, taken on Saturday last, was next called up. The Chair declared the present session a continuance of the last, which elicited a long debate. The matter was finally referred to a joint committee, and the Senate adjourned. In the House, Robert A. Mayo, Esq., of the county of Henrico, was duty sworn and took his seat as a Delegate from said county. A communication was received from the Governor enclosing a resolution adopted by the Senate, calling for correspondence with the Secretary of War of the Confederate States in relation to the infraction of States rights by the Federal Government, and an exchange of prisoners with the said Government. In this correspondence the Governor recommends retaliation in certain instances, by lot, and the turning over to the State
House of Delegates. --The following is the official vote in the county of Henrico, to fill the vacancy in the House of Delegates occasioned by the resignation of Z. S. McGruder, Esq.; Robt. A. Mayo, 179; S. McRae, 110; D. E. Gardner, 48; C. Y. Morriss, 27; John N. Davis, 18; Wm. C. Moncure, 8. Mr. Mayo took his seat yesterday.
