ease, in the spring of 1800, of the beautiful mansion since known as the Bigelow place, in Medford; and to this charming spot transferred her school. The house which for more than half a century was owned by the Bigelow family, was built by Mr. Joseph Wyman of Woburn, who had kept the public school; he then opened a private school for boys and girls.
