--Patrick Langan, hailing from Greenbrier county, made his second appearance in the Mayor's Court yesterday morning, for drunkenness.
Pat acknowledged the corn, and begged the Mayor to let him off, promising an immediate and thorough moral reform.
The Mayor complied with his request, though he seemed to have little confidence in his avowal of amendment, and Pat went on his way rejoicing.
