Outrageous Entortion. --As one of the fruits of the repeal of the law regulating the prices of marketing and certain other articles of family consumption in this city, butter was held in the upper and lower markets yesterday at the intolerable price of one dollar and forty cents per pound. We know not the influences which induced Gen. Winder to rescind the law above referred to, but venture the assertion that if the people had been consulted, nine-tenths of them would have implored its continuance.
