--The New Orleans Era, of the 20th, contains a very labored article to prove that the Confederates were badly beaten by the Federals on Red river.
It is severe on the rebels for calling them trained liars.
It acknowledges that Banks's army had sustained great losses, but says it is yet in good spirits.
Major Florence, of Maury's Bluff, from Fort Pike by flag of truce, reports that some Federals claim a drawn battle, while others admit a defeat.
Banks had fallen back, and was entrenching.
Papers are very difficult to obtain.
