The execution of Cap. Leopold — his last letter to his Mother. [Correspondence of the Richmond Dispatch.] Shepherdstown, Va, June 24, 1864. Will the Editor of the Richmond Dispatch confer a favor by publishing the enclosed letter of Capt. Andrew T. Leopold, of the C. S. Army, who unjustly perished on the scaffold at Fort McHenry, May 23, 1864, aged 22 years? The following letter was written in the blank leaves of a little book called "Glimpses of Heaven": "My dear, kind and loving Mother:--It is with the deepest sorrow that your humble son has to report to you the sad news of his unfortunate and unexpected fate, which is doomed for me by man, But be of good cheer, I have good ground to believe and hope that I go to a better world, for I have cast myself upon the mercies of our God, and look to the cross of His son, Jesus Christ, who died upon the cross, without sin, that we might have "everlasting life" by believing on him — I hope to meet you and my two sisters in that
