From Northern Virginia. Whilst we are without anything reliable from the two armies now confronting each other on the Northern border, we have reports of an important character, if correct. We state upon the authority of passengers by the Central train last evening that an engagement was early anticipated in the vicinity of Culpeper. A gentleman who left Orange C. N. yesterday says that he heard heavy cannonading in the direction of Culpeper, commencing early in the morning and continuing for some hours. It is asserted that the division of Sigel is on the south side of the Rappahannock, and if a fight has been commenced, which we think not at all improbable, it is no doubt with the forces under his command.
